On Wednesday, CME Coalition Senior Advisor Andrew Rosenberg presented at the Independent Medical Education and Grants Summit on the relationship between the current federal health policy landscape and independent medical education (IME) and health policy. His presentation sought to aid attendees in:
- Understanding the state of play for federal health policy, including the latest updates on end-of-year action items, potential action for Fall 2022, and longer-term trends and priorities;
- Considering the impending midterm elections and their implications on health policy moving forward; and
- Discussing recent agency actions — including from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Food and Drug Administration — as well as legislative policymaking on Capitol Hill surrounding continuing medical education.
